Earth on the Brink of an Ice Age

Monday, January 12th, 2009

According to Pravda.Ru, we are now entering a cooling stage.

“The earth is now on the brink of entering another Ice Age, according to a large and compelling body of evidence from within the field of climate science. Many sources of data which provide our knowledge base of long-term climate change indicate that the warm, twelve thousand year-long Holocene period will rather soon be coming to an end, and then the earth will return to Ice Age conditions for the next 100,000 years.

Ice cores, ocean sediment cores, the geologic record, and studies of ancient plant and animal populations all demonstrate a regular cyclic pattern of Ice Age glacial maximums which each last about 100,000 years, separated by intervening warm interglacials, each lasting about 12,000 years.

About 325,000 years ago, at the peak of a warm interglacial, global temperature and CO2 levels were higher than they are today. Today we are again at the peak, and near to the end, of a warm interglacial, and the earth is now due to enter the next Ice Age. If we are lucky, we may have a few years to prepare for it. The Ice Age will return, as it always has, in its regular and natural cycle, with or without any influence from the effects of AGW.

Brrrrrr.

EU’s new figurehead believes climate change is a myth

Saturday, January 3rd, 2009

According to the London Times - President Vaclav Klaus of the Czech Republic believes climate change is a dangerous myth

“The European Union’s new figurehead believes that climate change is a dangerous myth and has compared the union to a Communist state. ”

Not withstanding that the earth has been cooling over the last 10 years…

Scientists warn Christmas lights harm the planet

Wednesday, December 24th, 2008

In the Courier Mail from Australia:

“CSIRO researchers said householders should know that each bulb turned on in the name of Christmas will increase emissions of greenhouse gases.

Dr Platt added: “For a zero-emission Christmas light show, you may consider using solar powered lights or sourcing your electricity from verified green power suppliers.”

One would think that with all that increased CO2 that we would be warmer in the winter. However, we’re looking at a decade of decreased temperatures.

If we actually did get increased temperatures, perhaps the poorer countries of the world would be able to grow more food. More humans die from cold than heat every year…

CNN Meteorologist: Manmade Global Warming Theory ‘Arrogant’

Saturday, December 20th, 2008

From the The Business and Media Institure:

CNN Meteorologist Chad Myers had never bought into the notion that man can alter the climate and the Vegas snowstorm didn’t impact his opinion.

“You know, to think that we could affect weather all that much is pretty arrogant,” Myers said. “Mother Nature is so big, the world is so big, the oceans are so big – I think we’re going to die from a lack of fresh water or we’re going to die from ocean acidification before we die from global warming, for sure.”

He’s the second CNN meteorologist to challange the notion that man has caused climate change.

“The last 10 years have been quite cool,” Lehr continued. “And right now, I think we’re going into cooling rather than warming and that should be a much greater concern for humankind. But, all we can do is adapt. It is the sun that does it, not man.”

There’s so much more. Read the full article for the shocking details.

Scientist shunned by BBC for Denying Climate Change

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

From the Daily Express:

“David Bellamy, a respected botanist and the author of 35 books, he had presented around 400 programmes over the years and was appreciated by audiences for his boundless enthusiasm.

Yet for more than 10 years he has been out of the limelight, shunned by bosses at the BBC where he made his name, as well as fellow scientists and environmentalists.

His crime? Bellamy says he doesn’t believe in man-made global warming.

He says: “According to official data, in every year since 1998 world temperatures have been getting colder, and in 2002 Arctic ice actually increased. Why, then, do we not hear about that?

NASA Adminstrator speaks on arrogance of global warming position

Thursday, May 31st, 2007

From ABC News: “NASA administrator Michael Griffin is drawing the ire of his agency’s preeminent climate scientists after apparently downplaying the need to combat global warming.”

This is good stuff –>>

“I have no doubt that a trend of global warming exists,” Griffin told Inskeep. “I am not sure that it is fair to say that it is a problem we must wrestle with.”

“To assume that it is a problem is to assume that the state of Earth’s climate today is the optimal climate, the best climate that we could have or ever have had and that we need to take steps to make sure that it doesn’t change,” Griffin said.

“I guess I would ask which human beings — where and when — are to be accorded the privilege of deciding that this particular climate that we have right here today, right now is the best climate for all other human beings. I think that’s a rather arrogant position for people to take.”

I think we all know which humans want to dictate their views. And among them it’s the Hollywood elite, you know, Al Gore, Leo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Laurie David.

The do as I say, not as I do bunch. They know best. It’s their religion after all.
